Job Description

The Math Learning Lab seeks dedicated part-time tutors who believe in every student's ability to learn mathematics and are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Tutors provide academic support to students enrolled in developmental and college-level mathematics courses, including Statistics, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and other mathematics courses as needed. This is a part-time, hourly position.
Job Description :
Math Learning Lab tutors serve as facilitators of learning who believe in every student's ability to succeed. Through compassionate rigor, purposeful questioning, and appropriate scaffolding, tutors foster conceptual understanding, mathematical confidence, and independent learning.
Qualifications :
Proficient in Statistics, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. Bachelor's Degree or higher. Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas. Availability for part-time hours as per the tutoring schedule. The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation:
Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The hourly pay range for this position is $18-$22, depending upon highest educational degree obtained.

New Jersey Sick Leave :
Earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with a maximum of 40 hours of leave per benefit year. (Eligible to use after successful completion of probationary period.)
