Job Description
The Federal Work Study Student Worker position is for current Ocean County College students who are eligible for the Federal Work Study program. Students must have been approved by the Financial Aid office for FWS before starting their position. If you are not sure if you are eligible, please email financialaid@ocean.edu to initiate an eligibility check. A minimum of a 3.0 GPA is a prerequisite for these tutoring positions. The Fall 2026 rate for the FWS Student Worker position is $16.50/hr. The majority of positions listed are close to 20 hours per week, although some may be 10 or 15 hours per week depending on the position. 20hrs/wk is the maximum hours allowed for a position.
