Position Summary:
This is a part-time, temporary position reporting to the GPS Activity Director. Tutors serve as facilitators of knowledge and learning. Tutors should be able to quickly switch between subjects, work collaboratively as a team, and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with students of varying ability levels. Collaborate closely with faculty to support instruction. Lead group study sessions. Adapt to the diverse needs of students from different backgrounds. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements Minimum Job Requirements:
Have completed at least one semester at ENMU-Roswell. Have completed the course(s) they wish to tutor with a grade of "B" or better. Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (attach transcript). Working Conditions The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently sits and occasionally stands or walks. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements for this position include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
