Peer Tutor - Fall 2026 •
Please Note:
Priority consideration will be given to students with a Federal Work Study award.
Job Description:
Student tutors will work in-person in the Tutoring Center and/or the Writing Center. Tutors may help with course content, study skills, test preparation, writing assignments and more. Tutors may be cross-trained to assist at the library Service Desk as needed. Student tutors may also have the opportunity to serve as a classroom tutoring assistant. Job requirements: Demonstrated abilities in the desired tutoring area based on college courses taken and grades earned. Student tutors should have content knowledge and a patient, encouraging personality. They should be willing to help students figure out how they learn best and to try different strategies for helping students with their assignments. All tutors must have a recommendation from an instructor in the subject they would like to tutor (e.g., math, writing, accounting, biology, etc.) All tutor applicants will need to fill out a supplemental application online.
