Deliver effective tutoring sessions in English and Mandarin, supporting bilingual learners and those studying additional languages such as French or Japanese. Manage classroom environments with strong classroom management techniques to foster respectful, inclusive, and productive learning spaces. Utilize assessment tools to monitor student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Incorporate special education strategies when working with children with diverse learning needs or disabilities to ensure equitable access to education. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and caregivers to communicate student progress and recommend targeted interventions or enrichment activities. Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student achievements, and instructional materials for ongoing program improvement. Stay current with best practices in early childhood education, preschool teaching methods, and literacy instruction to continually enhance your teaching approach. Support the development of writing skills through activities that promote creativity, clarity, and coherence across various formats. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as classrooms, tutoring centers, or childcare programs is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development tailored for early childhood or elementary students is essential. Proven ability to teach English language learners (ELLs) and utilize learning technology effectively in instruction. Experience with classroom management techniques that create positive learning environments for young learners. Background in special education or working with students who have diverse learning needs will be considered an asset. Familiarity with bilingual education programs involving Mandarin, French, Japanese or other languages is a plus. Strong writing skills coupled with the ability to develop engaging lesson plans that promote literacy growth are required. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and preschool experience will support success in this role.
