Job Description

Overview We are seeking experienced and passionate Mandarin Chinese Tutors to join our growing tutoring platform as Independent Contractors. Tutors will provide one-on-one and small-group Mandarin instruction to children and/or adults through in-person lessons, depending on location and availability. This role is ideal for educators who enjoy flexible schedules, and a supportive teaching environment without administrative burdens. This is an in-person position . Our client is based in Brooklyn, New York, 11208, and the role involves traveling to students' homes to provide 2 hour tutoring sessions.
Availability required:
Mondays 4-6pm, (need to teach Traditional Chinese with Zhuyin) Responsibilities Deliver engaging, customized Mandarin Chinese lessons Teach students at various levels (beginner to advanced) Focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills Prepare lesson plans based on student goals Provide progress feedback to parents or adult learners Maintain a professional and reliable teaching schedule Requirements Native Mandarin Chinese speaker At least two year of teaching or tutor experience in United States , especially with children Teachers should have two experience in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language and Chinese immersion teaching. Experience working with students at the elementary, middle, or high school level Ability to create a joyful, low-pressure learning environment using games, interactive activities, songs, and guided speaking practice Familiarity with Traditional Chinese with Zhuyin Ability to travel to students' homes for in-person lessons Reliable transportation and ability to commute between student locations Responsible, patient, and well-organized Teaching certification , Certificate in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language , or an academic background in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language is a plus Must have a valid U.S. work visa, Green Card, U.S. citizenship, or other legal authorization to work in the United States.
