Valid Ohio Teaching License in one of the following areas:Early Childhood Intervention Specialist:
(P-3) Primary Intervention Specialist (PreK-5) Early Childhood (P-3) with Prekindergarten Special Needs Endorsement or willingness to obtain before August 25, 2026 Primary (PreK-5) with Prekindergarten Special Needs Endorsement or willingness to obtain before August 25, 2026Responsibilities and Expectations:
Perform all duties/responsibilities in accordance with Austintown Local School District Policy and Procedures Deliver targeted interventions in early literacy, numeracy, language development, and social-emotional skills Develop and implement individualized learning plans based on student needs Use evidence-based instructional strategies and progress monitoring tools Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure consistency in student support Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Foster a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Special Education, Building Principal, and/or the Superintendent The successful candidate must have the following on file before starting: Appropriate and valid Ohio teaching credential Current favorable State and Federal background checks Official Sealed Transcripts Ohio Auditor of State Fraud Training and Reporting Negative drug screen result Employees must follow all board policies, all state, and federal laws, and adhere to the Ohio Code of Ethics set up by the Ohio Department of Education. Subject to all applicable laws, essential job functions of this position include the employee being punctual and capable of completing all of the duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
