Job Description

Private Ballet Instructor Needed (Independent Contractor) We are seeking an experienced ballet instructor to provide private one-on-one instruction for a motivated student currently enrolled in college-level ballet coursework. This opportunity is ideal for an instructor with a strong background in ballet education and professional dance who enjoys working with beginners and can provide individualized instruction focused on technical development, confidence, and artistic growth.

Meeting Location:
Student's location or a mutually agreed-upon private studio space
Commitment:
Approximately 1-3 hours per week
Duration:
Several months, with the potential for a longer-term engagement of up to one year
Scheduling:
Flexible and coordinated directly with the student Student Goals The student is seeking supplemental instruction to support success in college-level ballet courses.
Areas of focus may include:
Ballet fundamentals and technical development Alignment, posture, and body mechanics Flexibility, balance, and strength Ballet terminology and classroom preparedness Movement quality, musicality, and artistic expression Building confidence within a structured ballet training environment Preferred Qualifications Candidates should possess: Professional training and/or performance experience in ballet or related dance disciplines Prior experience teaching ballet in a private or studio setting Experience working with beginning-level students Strong communication, coaching, and instructional skills Professionalism, reliability, and a student-centered teaching approach Experience working with adult learners, college students, or students new to dance is highly desirable. Independent Contractor Requirements Qualified candidates should: Be eligible to work as an independent contractor (1099) Maintain any licenses, certifications, or professional credentials required for their practice Carry professional liability insurance if required by applicable law, studio policies, or their professional practice Successfully pass a background check if requested Be responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and business-related obligations associated with independent contractor status Application Information Interested instructors should provide: Resume or professional biography Summary of teaching and performance experience Experience working with beginning-level ballet students General availability Hourly rate Confirmation of ability to work as an independent contractor Information regarding liability insurance coverage, if applicable We are seeking a dedicated professional who can provide high-quality individualized instruction and help the student establish a strong technical foundation for continued success in ballet training.
Pay:
$40.00 - $60.00 per hour
