Job Description

Job Summary:
Assist DVU students with understanding materials and concepts for specific courses and subjects. Help students develop effective study and learning strategies for specific courses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Tutor DVU students in course content. Suggest effective study and learning strategies. Submit the required documentation of time and specific tutoring activities. Ask tutored students to complete the feedback form and/or to submit other relevant information. Complete all communicated training requirements by the appropriate deadline(s). Other duties as assigned.
Education Employment eligibility:
Currently enrolled Delaware Valley University student. Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide required documentation to verify identity and employment eligibility.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have completed courses they wish to tutor with a minimum grade of B at DelVal or must have completed the equivalent course(s)/subject(s) at another accredited college/university. with a minimum grade of B as indicated on a transcript. Must be recommended by a DVU faculty member. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with peers.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Prolonged periods of sitting.
