Compensation:
$40.00 - $50.00 / hour (commensurate with experience) About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and qualified PA-Certified Elementary Teacher to lead academic instruction for our children in a private, in-home setting starting in early 2027. This position offers the ideal work-life balance for an educator who loves teaching core academics but wants to escape standard classroom management duties, administrative paperwork, and standardized testing pressures. You will focus 100% of your time on engaging, high-impact, 1-on-1 and small-group instruction using a structured, open-and-go curriculum.
Key Responsibilities Core Academic Instruction:
Lead daily instruction in elementary Reading, Language Arts, and Mathematics (2 hours per day, 4 days per week).
Progress Tracking:
Assess student comprehension and adjust the pacing of the curriculum to match learning styles and developmental benchmarks.
Instructional Engagement:
Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that keeps lessons creative, engaging, and efficient.
Communication:
Maintain open, casual communication with parents regarding academic progress, daily milestones, and curriculum feedback.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Certification:
Active or former Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Teaching Certificate (Required to satisfy PA Section 1327 Private Tutor provision).
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching, student teaching, or formal private instruction experience.
Background Checks:
Must pass standard state and federal background checks (PA Child Abuse, Criminal History, and FBI Fingerprinting).
