Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Tutor to inspire and empower students across a wide range of subjects, but an emphasis on improving Reading Comprehension. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in helping learners achieve their academic goals through personalized instruction. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work with elementary, middle and high school level children fostering confidence and mastery in various disciplines. Your enthusiasm for teaching and commitment to student success will make a meaningful difference in their educational journeys. Responsibilities Develop customized lesson plans that align with each student's learning style and academic goals. Utilize innovative learning technology to enhance instruction and facilitate understanding of complex concepts. Foster a positive learning environment by managing classroom dynamics effectively and encouraging active participation. Track student progress through assessments and provide constructive feedback to motivate improvement. Collaborate with parents and teachers from surrounding school districts. Qualifications Proven experience in tutoring or teaching in academic settings with diverse student populations. Knowledge of the Wilson Method . Expertise in Reading, English and Math Familiarity with learning technology tools and online instruction platforms. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and patiently. Experience working with children and teenagers with different educational needs. Classroom management skills to create an engaging and disciplined learning environment. Technical proficiency with computers and educational software applications. Background in curriculum development or lesson planning is highly desirable. Knowledge of special education strategies or experience working with students requiring additional support is a plus. Pay:
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 15.0 per week
