Fall 2026 (Immediate opportunities available for select candidates) About Us On the Write Track is a small, but growing tutoring and academic coaching company based in Los Angeles. We provide highly personalized, one-on-one support for students in grades K-12, helping them build skills, confidence, organization, and a genuine love of learning. While we are known for our writing instruction, admissions support, and educational consulting, much of our current work focuses on general academic tutoring, executive functioning, and supporting students with a variety of learning styles and needs. Families choose On the Write Track because we are thoughtful, communicative, organized, and genuinely good with kids. We believe in meeting students where they are and helping them grow both academically and personally. As our company continues to grow, we are looking to build a small, high-quality team of educators who are passionate about working with students and interested in growing alongside a premium tutoring brand. The Role As an Academic Tutor & Educational Coach, you will: Provide one-on-one tutoring in areas such as reading, writing, math, study skills, executive functioning, and general academic support based on your strengths and experience. Support students in developing confidence, organization, independence, and positive academic habits. Build meaningful, trusting relationships with students and families. Communicate professionally with parents regarding progress, goals, and session updates. Deliver engaging and individualized sessions both in students' homes and virtually via Zoom, depending on family preference, student needs, and tutor availability. Collaborate with On the Write Track to ensure students receive thoughtful and consistent support. Current & Upcoming Needs We are currently seeing strong demand in the following areas: Elementary and middle school academic tutoring Reading, writing, and executive functioning support Students with learning differences, including dyslexia, ADHD, and processing challenges Homework support and confidence-building After-school and weekend tutoring opportunities in Pasadena, La Cañada, Santa Monica, Brentwood, and surrounding communities Additional opportunities may arise in: Middle and high school math and science tutoring ISEE and private school admissions support College essay and academic writing instruction Test preparation and enrichment programs Some tutors may be matched with families shortly after onboarding depending on subject strengths, location, and availability. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (Education, English, Psychology, Math, Science, or related field preferred) Prior tutoring, classroom teaching, educational therapy, or academic coaching experience strongly preferred Experience working with students with learning differences (dyslexia, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, etc.) is highly valued Ability to commit to consistent after-school hours and occasional weekends Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to students' homes Comfortable working independently while maintaining communication with the On the Write Track team Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation ($80/hour) Flexible scheduling Professional support and mentorship Access to lesson ideas, frameworks, and instructional resources Opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as the company expands Potential future opportunities in curriculum development, admissions support, test preparation, and educational consulting Why Join On the Write Track?
