Job Overview Coastal Tide Consulting is seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Tutor to support high school students in upper-level mathematics. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in building student confidence, closing learning gaps, and fostering a deep understanding of math concepts. This paid, flexible position offers a great opportunity to work 1-on-1 or in small groups with local students. Ideal Candidate A current or experienced Middle or High School Math Teacher looking to pick up 1-5 hours per week of flexible, after-school or evening tutoring. Responsibilities Deliver engaging, personalized tutoring sessions in upper-level math (including Algebra 1, Algebra 1 Honors, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus). Assess student strengths and learning gaps to tailor instruction to each student's needs. Utilize structured curriculum materials and supportive tech tools to reinforce key concepts. Provide clear, constructive feedback and keep brief notes on student progress following each session. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student growth and areas of focus. Qualifications

MUST HOLD A VALID FLORIDA TEACHING CERTIFICATE

(Math 6-12 preferred). Must reside in or near Venice, North Port, or Port Charlotte, FL . Proven classroom teaching or dedicated 1-on-1 tutoring experience in high school mathematics. Strong subject-matter expertise across middle and high school math standards. Excellent communication skills with both students and parents. Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs or accommodations is highly desirable.

Pay:

$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.0 - 5.0 per week
