Job Summary:
Reading Partners (RP) and Community College of Denver (CCD) are seeking responsible, patient, motivated students to support Reading Partners one
- on•one Online tutoring program.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Online Literacy Tutors use RP digital curriculum to work one-on-one with elementary students via the online tutoring platform, using video conferencing. Online Literacy Tutors can provide tutoring from anywhere in the USA and will be paired with students receiving tutoring at their partner school sites.
- Follow the Reading Partner curriculum
- Complete required tutor trainings
- Committee to around 10 hours a week. Consistent tutoring schedule during school hours (Monday
- Thursday, approximately 8 am
- 3 pm).
Preference is given to students who can commit to the full program year (through May/June). Consistent attendance and punctuality is a must!
Competencies/KSAs:
- Passionate about early literacy and supporting young learners.
- Maintain a positive, patient, attitude toward learning, diversity, and students.
- Be open to feedback and coaching.
- Be able to interact effectively with students.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum qualifications: Be financial aid eligible, which includes having a complete FA file, meeting SAP and enrolled 6 hours+ towards degree.
- Remain flexible around changes that may occur to the schedule that are outside of Reading Partners' control
- Have access to reliable, password protected WIFI, PC, Mac, or Chromebook computer with a functioning webcam and microphone.

Additional Information/Benefits:
Tutoring with Reading Partners requires absolutely no experience, as they provide all the necessary materials and the ongoing training and support of a Reading Partners' team member who is on-site with the students. This will provide students with the opportunity to gain entry level experience to take them to numerous next levels. Any area of academics will be good for this position as skills learned will cross over to any professional area of expertise. Back to job listing
