Job Description:
Reports to : Dean of Academic Affairs, Academic Support Center Specialists decourskl@herkimer.edu pietrucjc@herkimer.edu, lanzajj@herkimer.edu
Basic Function:
To provide subject-specific and general study skills tutorial assistance to all HCCC students.
Major Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one, small group, and online tutoring using a learner-centered approach. Utilize learning tools and resources as appropriate to the needs of the student. Ensure accurate tutoring records through the ASC's appointment tracking software. Submit record edits in a timely manner and in accordance with established policy. Provide peer tutoring assistance at approved, established locations only. No ASC-sponsored tutoring will occur in student rooms or apartments. Provide service to students within HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned.

Front Desk Coverage ASC-Sponsored Events (Workshops, Open House, Tabling, Etc)
Working Relationships:
Dean of Academic Affairs Professional Tutor Specialists (Training, Coaching, Support) Accessibility Services Staff Academic Success Center Team College Faculty in disciplines tutored
Students Requirements:
Must be proficient, with at least a grade of "B" or better, in the subject matter being tutored. Must have completed 12 credit hours of college coursework.
Minimum GPA:
3.0 Recommendation from faculty member
