Job Overview SmartPath Tutors is a Jacksonville-based tutoring agency connecting students (K-12) with passionate educators for in-person and online sessions. We offer instruction across all core subjects — math, reading, ELA, chemistry, Spanish, sign language, and more — as well as a unique AI & Business course for young entrepreneurs. We're looking for dedicated tutors who are knowledgeable in their subject area, reliable, and genuinely invested in student success. Duties Develop customized lesson plans that align with students' curriculum and learning objectives Deliver engaging tutoring sessions across various subjects, including math, science, language arts, and more Utilize learning technology and digital resources to enhance the educational experience Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Manage classroom dynamics effectively, creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere Support students with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early childhood education approaches Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding student development and areas for improvement Qualifications Teaching certification or college degree associated with education or a specific subject such as Mathematics, English, Science, Spanish, etc.. Strong knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning techniques Familiarity with learning technology tools and online teaching platforms Experience working with children, including preschool or early childhood education settings Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with students, parents, and colleagues Background in special education or working with students with diverse learning needs is a plus Demonstrated commitment to student success and ongoing professional development Join us as a Private Tutor and become a vital part of transforming lives through personalized education.
