Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Travel Step into a vital role supporting surgical teams as a professional technologist specializing in cardiovascular operating rooms. This contract opportunity requires expertise in cardiac, vascular, and robotic procedures to deliver exceptional patient care during complex surgeries.

Schedule/Hours:

Option of three 12-hour shifts (6:00am-6:30pm) or four 10-hour shifts (6:00am-4:30pm) Call requirement includes one weekend per month and the possibility of 1-2 weekday on-call shifts, depending on operational needs

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of 1 year recent experience in surgical technology, specifically within cardiovascular OR environments Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the NBSTSA (CST credential required) Demonstrated history of working in procedures involving cardiac, vascular, and robotic surgery is essential

Role Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain the surgical environment, ensuring all equipment for cardiac, vascular, and robotic procedures is ready and sterile Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers to facilitate smooth operations Assist in positioning patients, managing instrument trays, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team Support post-procedure processing and adhere to all safety protocols for infection prevention Respond efficiently and effectively while on call, maintaining quality standards during urgent and scheduled cases Experience in this position will enhance your skills and contribute to exceptional patient outcomes in advanced surgical settings.
