Must be able to tutor at the reading & writing portion with confidence.ACT:

Certified classroom teachers familiar with AP level content and college students or recent grads with high test scores. You will be assigned small group classes and you'll be responsible for individual tutoring within your own content area at our office in East Cobb. You may also use virtual tutoring capabilities as requested by our customers. Additional responsibilities at East Cobb Tutoring Center will include communicating with families and maintaining your schedule. You'll be eager to see your students find success while lowering their academic stress levels. You'll apply the skills you already have from working with students and will add to our multi-year reputation of being the "Best Tutoring Center in Georgia." You will be able to do what you love, on your schedule, while making extra money!Schedule:
Group classes are held in conjunction with national testing dates throughout the school year. Most classes are on Sundays. Weekday tutoring sessions take place between 3 and 8pm Mondays-Thursdays; Sunday sessions are scheduled throughout the day. These are individual sessions. Tutors are asked to maintain the same schedule each week with a minimum availability of 5 hours per week. This is not shift work. You come to the tutoring center only when you have students scheduled. Virtual sessions are scheduled by the request of our clients. A sample schedule for a tutor working 8 hours per week might be 12pm-4pm on Sundays and 5pm-7pm M-W. Tutors are compensated bi-weekly as independent contractors (1099).Qualifications:
- Strong background in language arts, test prep or related field
- Experience working with teens in an education setting
- Excellent test scores (be prepared to report your SAT, ACT or comparable test score)
- Familiarity with policies and programs of local schools is preferred.
Alternate Qualifications:
- College students with extremely high SAT or ACT scores will be considered.
