This position follows a hybrid work model for candidates residing in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky. Candidates must live within the Cincinnati Tri-State area and be able to commute to UC's Main Campus as needed. Remote work is governed by university policy and may be adjusted accordingly. The UC Online Instruction team seeks a part-time work-study student to assist with Canvas course builds and other tasks as assigned. The Instruction team works within Canvas (UC's Learning Managment System) to prepare courses for the coming semester for fully online programs. This includes copying existing courses, building new courses from scratch, and doing quality assurance checks to ensure courses meet instructor specifications. Ideal candidates are self-starters capable of working with limited supervision but also capable of collaborating on team projects. Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, maturity, reliability, and professionalism. Primary Duties Providing quality assurance reviews of Canvas courses Building and updating courses in Canvas Researching and testing emerging educational technologies Remediating files for accessibility Supporting UCO- staff during workshops and training sessions Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED Enrolled at a post-secondary institution or a secondary school. Enrolled at least part-time (one or more credit hours if at a post-secondary institution), except for summer term, or will be a registered student during the next academic term. Must be at least 16 years of age. "Enrollment" shall include: The period between two successive terms for which the student is enrolled. The one "off" term in each academic year in which the student is not enrolled. Student employee status may be retained for one additional term following either graduation or withdrawal from enrollment.Compensation Salary/Hourly Pay Rate Information:
$17/HOURPart-time Position:
