Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tutor to join our team. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing academic support and guidance to students of various ages and skill levels. Your role will involve creating lesson plans, implementing effective teaching strategies, and fostering a positive learning environment. You will also be responsible for helping parents to learn skillsets that can help them to advocate for their children in school and work with them along side you or any teacher, while working with their child regarding their education.Duties:
- Assess students' individual learning needs and develop personalized tutoring plans
- Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions
- Assist students in understanding subject matter and improving their academic performance
- Utilize various teaching methods and resources to enhance learning
- Help students develop effective study skills and time management techniques
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to address student challenges and develop strategies for improvement
- Stay updated on educational trends, curriculum changes, and learning technologies
Experience:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting (preferably within the ages of 3 to 16 years old) Any other age group is a bonus, ask how in the interview
- Strong classroom management skills (Must be able to clearly manage, teach, diversify lessons for at least 5-8 children at a time if not working one on one.
- Proficient in lesson planning and curriculum development (Must be able to meet child where they are at and bring them up to speed! Creativity is a must!)
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices and social and emotional development practices
- Familiarity with learning technology tools and resources
- Experience in preschool or early childhood education (preferred)
- Previous teaching experience is a plus
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Education or related field (preferred)
- Relevant certifications or licenses (if applicable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and encourage students
- Flexibility to adapt teaching methods based on individual student needs Droppin' J.
Pay:
$25.00- $150.
