Job Description
The New England Institute of Technology seeks a part-time (6-19 hours per week), student-centered tutor to join our staff in the Academic Skills/STEM Center. Responsibilities may include tutoring students in math from algebra to calculus, physics, chemistry, and statics. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in math, science, or engineering is required. Applicants must have experience teaching high school and/or college-level students from diverse backgrounds. Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong computer skills, the ability to work well independently and as part of a team, and the ability to maintain accurate records are required. Because the STEM Center is open Monday -Thursday 9 am to 6 pm and Friday 9 am to 4 pm, the applicant must be flexible with scheduling.
