15 hours a week during the spring, summer, and fall academic semesters Job Summary Reporting to the Dean of Humanities, the Writing Center Advanced Tutor is responsible for tutoring students on an appointment and walk-in basis. The Advanced Tutor is responsible for general office administration of the Writing Center that may include schedule and calendar maintenance, training of work study students, and general on-campus marketing. Job Duties Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions. Assist students with building their writing skills. Schedule tutoring appointments as requested. Answer phone and email inquiries from students and faculty regarding the Writing Center. Assist the Writing Center Administrator with maintaining office records, scheduling, internal marketing, promotion, and outreach. Conduct writing workshops for classes as requested. Maintain budget records for the Writing Center. Participate in training. Complete other assignments as directed by supervision. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution Experience teaching or tutoring English Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution Two or more years of experience teaching English Conversational ability or fluency in a second languageKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Technology Skills:
