Part-Time Special Education Tutor (Math, Science & Language Arts) Tutoring Club of Cedar Park, TX Cedar Park, TX Job Details Part-time $17 - $23 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule Referral program Qualifications Teamwork Experience teaching math Experience working with individuals with autism Education Working with students Full Job Description Overview Tutoring Club of Cedar Park, TX is looking for patient, caring tutors to support students with special learning needs in math, science and language arts. This vibrant role offers the opportunity to empower students with diverse learning needs by providing tailored instruction that fosters academic growth and confidence. Many of our students learn differently, including students on the autism spectrum and students with ADHD, dyslexia or other learning differences. If you believe every child can learn and you love finding the approach that finally makes it click, we'd love to meet you. You'll work with students one-on-one and in small groups (never more than 3 students per tutor), using our proven curriculum and lesson plans adapted to each student's needs. What You'll Do Tutor K-12 students in math, science, reading, writing and language arts Adapt lessons to each student's learning style, pace, attention span and sensory needs Break skills into small, clear steps, using visuals, hands-on materials and repetition Build routines and a calm, predictable, encouraging environment Support students with focus, organization, and social and emotional regulation during sessions Celebrate progress and build confidence and independence Keep clear session notes and progress records, and share updates with our center team Work with our center director and families on each student's learning plan and goals Take part in team meetings and Tutoring Club training What We're Looking For Experience working with children or teens with special needs, such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, dyslexia, or other learning or developmental differences Strong knowledge of elementary through high school math, science or language arts Patience, flexibility and a calm, positive presence Clear, kind communication with students and families Reliability and attention to detail Bachelor's degree, or current enrollment in a bachelor's program, in education, special education, psychology or a related field Ability to pass a background check Preferred (not required) Special education certification or coursework Experience as a special education teacher, paraprofessional, behavior technician (RBT/ABA) or classroom aide Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans and common accommodations Tutoring or teaching experience Why Join Tutoring Club?
