Overview Join our dynamic educational team as an Advanced Reading/Writing Tutor, where your expertise will ignite a passion for literacy and language skills among diverse learners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver personalized, engaging instruction that empowers students to excel in reading and writing. Whether working with children, students with disabilities, or multilingual learners, you will play a vital role in fostering confidence and academic success through innovative teaching methods and tailored lesson plans. Responsibilities Provide individualized reading and writing instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels, including early childhood, preschool, and older learners. Help students with schoolwork and also test prep, including SAT and ACT . Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate students with disabilities or special education needs, ensuring an inclusive learning environment. Utilize a variety of teaching techniques such as lesson planning, classroom management, and instructional adaptability to maximize student engagement and progress. Employ assessment tools to monitor student progress regularly and adjust teaching approaches accordingly. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support comprehensive learning experiences and ensure consistent progress. Requirements Proven experience in tutoring or teaching reading and writing skills across different age groups and proficiency levels. Test-taking skills, test anxiety reduction skills Strong knowledge of literacy education principles, curriculum development, and instructional adaptability. Experience working with students with disabilities or in special education settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with learning technology, e-learning platforms, classroom management techniques, and lesson planning tools. Excellent communication skills in English; ability to deliver individualized instructions effectively.
Pay:
