TRIO Job Summary Math tutors needed for

TRIO SSS

program on Corinth, Flower Mound and Gainesville campuses. All levels needed, from College Preparatory (Beginning Algebra) through Statistics and College Algebra.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Active involvement in issues of institutional effectiveness including student learning outcomes, program-level outcomes, and marketable skills achievement. Focuses teaching and outreach efforts on student success. Treats students with respect. Required Education Peer tutors (students) must have a recommendation from a faculty member and have completed a college level course in subject area wanted for tutoring with an A or B and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Professional tutors must submit transcripts and have successfully completed college courses in subject area wanted for tutoring with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Required Skills & Abilities None. Required Experience No experience required. Preferred Experience Experience assisting adult learners in an educational setting. Special Instructions to Applicants North Central Texas College is a member of the College Reading & Learning Association ( www.crla.net ) and all tutors must attend mandatory training on the Corinth Campus. Pay ranges from $12.00 per hour up to $19.00 per hour depending on education. Subject to a background check. Employees must reside in Texas or Oklahoma Applications must be submitted online.
