Tutor - Katy TX

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable, patient, and engaging private tutor to support two students; a 6-year-old (Kindergarten) and a 12-year-old (6th Grade). The tutor will provide structured, personalized academic support in a home setting, helping both children build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and stay on track with schoolwork. Responsibilities Provide daily tutoring sessions for both students within the scheduled time Support the Kindergarten student with: • Early reading and phonics Basic math skills Writing and comprehension Maintaining focus and positive learning habits Support the 6th Grade student with: • Homework assistance across subjects (Math, English, etc.) Study skills and organization Test preparation when needed Create engaging, age-appropriate lesson activities Monitor progress and adjust teaching methods as needed Encourage a positive, structured, and motivating learning environment Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and areas for improvement Experience Prior classroom experience or tutoring experience working with children or adults is highly desirable Familiarity with learning technology platforms and digital educational tools Experience in early childhood education, preschool settings, or childcare environments is a plus Excellent communication skills to effectively connect with students of diverse backgrounds Ability to manage classroom dynamics confidently and professionally Background in special education or working with students requiring additional support is advantageous Embark on a fulfilling journey as a Tutor in Katy, TX, where your passion for education meets the opportunity to inspire learners every day!
