About the Position Bright Pine Academy, Inc. operates the Reading Town learning center in Round Rock . We are looking for a dependable and engaging Part-Time Reading & Writing Tutor to work with K-12 students in a structured, small-group learning environment. This is an in-person, after-school tutoring position . Curriculum and instructional materials are provided, so you can focus on teaching and supporting students rather than creating lesson plans from scratch. What You'll Do Teach K-12 students in reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and writing Work with students individually and in small groups Review student writing and provide clear, constructive feedback Help students strengthen reading, writing, and critical-thinking skills Follow established Reading Town curriculum and instructional materials Communicate student progress or concerns with the academic team Maintain a reliable and consistent weekly teaching schedule Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Dependable, punctual, and professional Patient and comfortable working with children and teenagers Strong in English reading and writing Able to explain concepts clearly and encourage students Available consistently during weekday afternoons and evenings Previous teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or experience working with K-12 students is preferred. Current or former teachers, substitute teachers, retired educators, graduate students, experienced tutors, and candidates with strong English or education backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Teacher certification is not required. Schedule Part-time, approximately 4-15 hours per week Most teaching hours are Monday-Friday, approximately 3:30 PM-8:30 PM Saturday hours may also be available but are optional We are currently prioritizing candidates who can consistently work at least two weekday afternoons/evenings Because students attend on recurring weekly schedules, reliability and consistent attendance are especially important. Compensation Starting at $25 per hour , with higher compensation considered based on relevant experience and qualifications. Why Work With Us?
