Job Description

Tutor Manager Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic, outgoing, and dedicated Tutor Manager to lead client communication, drive student enrollment, and oversee daily tutoring operations. The primary responsibility of this role is building and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective clients through consistent phone communication. This position is highly client-facing and focused on converting inquiries into enrolled students, supporting family satisfaction, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. While tutor supervision and staff management are important components of the position, client acquisition, communication, and retention are the highest priorities. The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, organized, personable, sales-minded, and passionate about helping students succeed. In this role, you will oversee tutor recruitment, training, scheduling, and accountability while helping create a positive, student-centered learning environment that promotes academic growth and long-term success. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape educational experiences across diverse age groups, from early childhood to adult learners. Duties Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and current families through phone calls and follow-up communication Respond promptly to incoming leads and convert inquiries into scheduled assessments, consultations, and tutoring enrollments Conduct outbound phone outreach to prospective clients, current families, and inactive accounts as needed Build strong relationships with families by understanding student needs and recommending appropriate tutoring services Maintain a high standard of customer service and communication throughout the client experience Prioritize student enrollment growth and client retention while supporting day-to-day tutor operations Recruit, interview, onboard, and train qualified tutors across various subjects and grade levels Coordinate tutor schedules to ensure proper coverage and efficient operations Monitor tutor performance through observations, coaching, accountability conversations, and feedback sessions Ensure tutors properly document attendance, session notes, and student progress in company systems Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts, parent concerns, and student learning challenges professionally and efficiently Develop, review, and update educational materials and learning strategies to align with student needs Collaborate with educators and program coordinators to design individualized learning plans for students Foster a positive, collaborative team culture focused on professionalism, accountability, and student success Help develop and implement operational procedures that improve consistency and efficiency across tutoring services Skills Excellent phone communication and relationship-building skills Strong customer service and client engagement abilities Sales-minded approach with confidence recommending educational services to families Ability to handle high volumes of inbound and outbound phone communication Strong leadership and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment Experience managing teams, schedules, and operational logistics effectively Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning across diverse educational levels Proficiency with learning technology tools used for remote or hybrid tutoring sessions Experience tutoring or teaching children, including early childhood, special education, or intervention settings Knowledge of classroom management and student engagement strategies Ability to work effectively with students of all ages and learning abilities Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability Ability to balance client acquisition responsibilities with internal staff management Experience using CRM, scheduling, or educational management software platforms preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred Prior management, leadership, or educational operations experience preferred Experience working with K-12 students strongly preferred Evening and weekend availability required.
