Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Tutor to support students in developing their language skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in literacy education, lesson planning, and classroom management, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs. This role offers an opportunity to work with children of various ages, including early childhood and preschool students, fostering a positive learning environment that promotes language acquisition and confidence. Fluency in English is essential, and additional language skills such as Mandarin, French, or Japanese are highly valued. The tutor will utilize learning technology and curriculum development techniques to create engaging lessons that enhance literacy and communication skills. Duties Develop and implement customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student needs Use various learning technologies to facilitate interactive and effective lessons Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills Manage classroom behavior and create a positive, inclusive learning environment Incorporate literacy education strategies tailored for children with special education needs or early childhood education requirements Track student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians as needed Adapt teaching methods for students with diverse backgrounds, including those with preschool experience or childcare needs Assist in curriculum development for language programs in English and other languages such as Mandarin, French, or Japanese Support students' overall language development through engaging activities and creative lesson planning Skills Strong knowledge of English language instruction, literacy education, and early childhood education principles Experience working with children across different age groups, including preschoolers and students requiring special education support Proficiency in classroom management techniques to foster a productive learning environment Ability to develop effective lesson plans using innovative teaching strategies and learning technology tools Excellent writing skills for creating instructional materials and assessments Multilingual abilities in Mandarin, French, or Japanese are preferred but not required Experience with tutoring or classroom teaching experience is highly desirable Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for diverse learners This position provides an enriching opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational journeys while honing your teaching skills in a supportive environment.
