Position Information Position Title Office Assistant Math Tutoring Center Requisition Number H01874P Position Category Hourly/Work Study Campus Location Weber State University - Ogden, UT Hours per week 7-12 hours Months per year 12 Alternate work schedule Pay Grade Salary Hourly Pay Rate $14.00 FLSA Job Summary/Basic Function Office Assistants are reliable, detail-oriented individuals that support the daily operations of the Math Tutoring Center. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential to being successful. Office Assistant needed Tuesdays 9:30 - 11:30 AM and Thursdays 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM for the Spring semester. •This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified. Required Qualifications Create a welcoming environment for all students, such as greeting students who sign in using the kiosk Assisting students with the Math Tutoring Center queue process and answering any additional questions the student may have Directing tutors to specific student sessions Tutors and students have the supplies to have an effective tutoring session (paper, utensils, etc.) Professional email correspondence with students about the center's hours, scheduling appointments, and any other center-related questions. Making sure the center is clean and well-organized together Preferred Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Organizational and time management skills Familiarity with Starfish Background Check?
