Under the Direction of the SCUP education counselor, the private tutor works one-on-one with upper-division college students in math, science, and business courses. Providing academic tutoring assistance, tracking progress, reporting to SCUP education counselor, and fulfilling other duties as assigned. Tutors students one-on-one. Records notes from tutoring sessions. Communicates with Education Counselor. Other duties as assigned. Must be a current UVU student. Must be able to pass a background check. Preferred Qualifications Two or more years of experience tutoring or studying the subject. Knowledge Advanced knowledge in math, science, business, or English. Advanced knowledge in other areas such as languages, social sciences, etc. will be considered. Skills Effective verbal and written communication. Skills maintaining accurate records for official files. Abilities Ability to relate to a diverse population of students. Ability to follow through with assignments, schedules, and appointments. Ability to demonstrate professionalism. Ability to work independently with dependability.
