Math/Science tutoring involves one-on-one tutoring with students in Waterford Middle School and Waterford Upper School. Tutoring sessions usually occur two times per week. Sessions are 40-50 minutes, and take place both during school and after school hours Monday through Friday. The tutoring position includes the following expectations: The successful candidate will be able to develop a healthy rapport with Middle and Upper School students, work collaboratively with colleagues in the department, and embrace Waterford School's mission, vision, and values in curriculum, teaching, and membership in the community.

Competencies and Skills Desired:

Demonstrate proficiency in upper-level math and/or science subjects. Create individualized lesson plans based on student needs. Build foundational skills while supporting current coursework. Communicate with parents, teachers, and school administrators. Complete student progress reports each term. Maintain organized student records in Google Drive. Use Google Docs, Sheets, Calendar, and Canvas effectively. Monitor student grades, assignments, and teacher updates in Canvas. Attend weekly tutor meetings. Participate in required fall training with the Math Department Chair.
