Academic Support Specialist Mindful with Children Alexandria, VA Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract $60 - $80 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications School experience Working with high schoolers Master's degree Working with children Teaching experience with teenagers Performing background checks Elementary school teaching Working with elementary school students Full Job Description At Mindful with Children (MWC) , we pride ourselves on supporting the holistic growth of children. This means providing them the academic support they need, while at the same serving as a partner in the support of their growing confidence, positive self concept, and independence. We are looking to add talented, caring educators to our team who have a passion for working with children in this capacity. Each specialist (tutor) is paired to work with a child diagnosed with a learning need for work in a 1:1 capacity. Our specialists (tutors) will often be contracted for between one and three sessions per week, lasting for one hour each session (usually somewhere between the hours of 4-8 M-Th, but you will be able to work out your own schedule with the partnering family).
