General Description:
This is for the 2026-2027 school year. Provides a supervised and structured environment for students involved in the In-School-Detention (ISD) program. Work involves ensuring safety and order of the students assigned to the ISS program. Requires the ability to tutor and supervise students, particularly in a disciplinary setting and to handle sensitive and difficult situations and students. Responsible for following teacher-assigned schoolwork. Performs routine work independently of supervision.Job Description:
Essential Job Functions :
Provides assistance to students with classroom assignments collected from the teacher; collects and checks work assignments for completeness and accuracy; administers tests. Monitors classroom behavior; monitors lunch and bathroom breaks; maintains isolation from other students. Develops and presents classroom assignments and materials for students to work on during ISD. Schedules students for ISD classes; completes pupil contracts and ensures compliance; keeps attendance records and other appropriate records; distributes work assignment sheets to teachers; returns completed work to teachers. Redirects students occasionally when momentary lack of focus has the potential to interfere with successful completion of ISD. Refers students to others according to procedures; contacts parents and teachers regarding behavior problems. Performs other related duties as assigned.Budgetary Responsibility :

Some knowledge of academic subjects; of school board policies and procedures and ISS regulations and practices. Demonstrated ability to tutor and supervise students, particularly in a disciplinary setting and to handle sensitive and difficult situations and students. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, teachers, parents and staff and to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to work independently and assume responsibility without direct supervision; to prioritize work and to follow oral and written instructions.Additional Job Requirements:
