Job Description

General Statement of Duties CodeRVA Regional High School seeks an individual to provide temporary part-time support to a classroom while the teacher of record is operating asynchronously or on Family Medical Leave. The potential subject areas for the placement are: Humanities, Math, Science, and Computer Science. Knowledge of these subject areas is not required, but helpful. The selected candidate will be willing to build individual relationships with a diverse student body with a range of learning needs. Essential Duties Maintains order within the instructional setting in accordance with school guidelines regarding student behavior management. Takes attendance daily and maintains accurate records. Communicates regularly and professionally with students, families, and staff. When requested, scores student work using rubrics provided by the school. Maintains accurate student academic records when requested. Use Google products (Documents, Sheets, Slides, etc.) with proficiency. Ensures compliance with existing applicable federal and state statutes and local policies, regulations and guidelines related to public schools. Performs other duties as established by School Board Policy. Regular attendance is required Performs other duties as needed. Additional Information

Experience in teaching or other educational settings is preferred. Experience with high school aged students is preferred. Prior experience working with students of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds is preferred. The ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
