In-Person Math & Science Tutor — Kirkland Area Seven Points Prep - 4.7 Kirkland, WA Job Details Part-time | Contract $25.00 - $49.50 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications Experience teaching math Calculus Working with students Geometry Algebra Full Job Description Job Summary Seven Points Prep is seeking an experienced, highly qualified in-person math and science tutor to join our growing team. We currently have students in need for summer and the upcoming fall, and we are looking for someone who can begin working with clients right away. Seven Points Prep handles the administrative work so our tutors can focus on what they do best: supporting students. This is an independent contractor position with flexible scheduling. Tutors set their own availability and typically work with students on weekday afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends. Location We are specifically hiring tutors who can work in person in the following areas: Kirkland, WA Mercer Island, WA Bellevue, WA Redmond, WA Bothell, WA Woodinville, WA Tutoring may take place: At our Kirkland office In a student's home At a local library, coffee shop, or other agreed-upon public location Reliable transportation is required for in-person tutoring. Pay Pay is dependent on experience, subject expertise, and location.
Kirkland office tutoring:
up to $41/hour In-home tutoring: up to $49/hour This is an independent contractor role. Our mission is to help students develop academic independence, intrinsic motivation, and the confidence and skills needed to navigate school and become competitive college candidates. We provide personalized academic support in a warm, professional, and student-centered environment. Responsibilities Tutors may work with students one-on-one or in small groups in subject areas including: Elementary school math Middle school math Pre-Algebra Algebra I Geometry Algebra II Trigonometry Pre-Calculus Calculus / AP Calculus Elementary school science Middle school science Biology Chemistry Physics AP Physics AP Chemistry Additional advanced math and science subjects, depending on experience Current priority need: Elementary, middle, and high school level physics and all upper-level math/science support.

Qualifications Qualified candidates should have:
Prior tutoring or teaching experience required Strong knowledge of subject area (s) Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred Degree may be in progress if graduation date is 2027 or earlier Strong communication skills Strong attention to detail Professionalism and reliability Comfort using technology and online scheduling / communication tools Reliable transportation for in-person sessions Ability to work with students in Kirkland, Mercer Island, and/or surrounding areas Candidates must be local to their service areas. Candidates should carefully consider their availability and ability to fulfill this commitment before applying. As outlined in the applicable written agreement: Individuals who end their engagement within the first 90 days may be responsible for reimbursing Seven Points Prep for the cost of a company-paid background check. Individuals who end their engagement before completing their agreed-upon school-year commitment may be responsible for a student rematching fee for each affected student. Any reimbursement, fee, or permitted deduction will be administered only in accordance with the signed agreement and applicable law.
