Duties Enforce game rules and regulations during basketball matches to ensure fair play and safety for all participants Manage game timing, start and stop play, and handle any disputes or conflicts with professionalism and tact Communicate clearly with players, coaches, spectators, and fellow officials to maintain a positive sporting environment Monitor player behavior to prevent unsportsmanlike conduct or unsafe actions, intervening when necessary Conduct pre-game inspections of the playing area to ensure it meets safety standards Keep accurate records of game scores, fouls, and incidents for reporting purposes Promote sportsmanship by encouraging respectful interactions among players and spectators Qualifications Knowledge of basketball rules, gameplay, and officiating techniques Experience in sports coaching or refereeing is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Strong conflict management skills to handle disputes calmly and effectively Excellent communication skills to clearly explain decisions and foster positive interactions on the court Ability to work well with children and young athletes in a supportive manner Ability to remain attentive, alert, and impartial throughout the duration of games Prior experience in sports or recreational activities is advantageous but not mandatory Join us in creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment where athletes can thrive!
