This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be on the front lines of democracy, overseeing polling activities, supporting election officials, and fostering a fair voting environment. Your energetic presence will help maintain order, promote trust, and ensure voters have a smooth experience on election day. If you are passionate about civic engagement, possess strong communication skills, and enjoy working with diverse groups—including children—this role is perfect for you! Duties Observe polling station activities to ensure compliance with election laws and procedures Assist election officials in managing voter flow and providing clear instructions to voters Monitor the polling environment to prevent disruptions or conflicts, stepping in with conflict management skills when necessary Engage with voters courteously, answering questions and guiding them through the voting process Support the enforcement of safety protocols, including managing queues and maintaining order Report any irregularities or concerns promptly to election authorities Interact positively with children or family groups accompanying voters to foster a welcoming atmosphere Experience Previous experience in sports coaching or working with children is highly desirable, demonstrating patience and strong interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills to clearly convey instructions and address voter inquiries effectively Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and confidently, utilizing conflict management techniques when needed Enthusiastic about civic participation and committed to upholding election integrity No prior election experience required; training will be provided to familiarize you with procedures and regulations This paid role offers a meaningful way to contribute directly to the democratic process while developing valuable skills in communication, conflict resolution, and community engagement.
