You'll help deliver a smooth, enjoyable game experience by enforcing rules consistently, keeping matches on time, and communicating clearly with players and captains. SFCS hires and trains sports officials and league staff on an ongoing basis. South Florida Club Sport What You'll Do Arrive early, check field conditions, confirm teams/lineups, and keep games on schedule. Umpire slow-pitch softball games from the base/field position (may occasionally assist at plate if needed). Enforce SFCS league rules and sportsmanship standards; handle disputes with composure and fairness. South Florida Club Sport Track scores and game details accurately; submit results promptly using SFCS systems/apps as directed. Communicate proactively with League Coordinators and follow site-specific procedures. What It Takes Prior adult slow-pitch softball (or baseball) officiating experience preferred; strong knowledge of slow-pitch rules required. Calm, professional on-field presence; excellent game management and customer-service skills. Evening availability on weeknights and weekends; ability to work multiple games per night. Reliable transportation to rotating field locations across the tri-county area. Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the U.S. Nice to Have Experience officiating rec/club or tournament play. First Aid/CPR certification. Comfort using a mobile app to view schedules, scores, and updates. Google Play Pay & Scheduling $30 per game. Typical shifts include 2-4 games per night (varies by location and season). Seasonal/part-time role with recurring league nights.
