Norwalk Parks & Recreation is hiring Youth Basketball Referees, ages 14 and older , for the upcoming basketball season. Whether you have officiating experience or are looking for your first opportunity to referee, we'd love to hear from you! Youth Basketball Referees help create a fun, safe, and positive experience for young athletes while keeping games moving and applying league rules fairly. What You'll Do Officiate youth basketball games for 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th, and 5th-6th grade divisions Apply and explain league rules during games Communicate positively and professionally with players, coaches, and Parks & Recreation staff Work with Facility Supervisors to help games run smoothly Encourage good sportsmanship and a positive environment for young athletes Don't have officiating experience? That's okay! Previous experience officiating or working with children is preferred, but not required . Rules for each program will be provided.

Monday-Friday evenings
Typical Hours:
Approximately 5:00-8:00 p.m., depending on the game schedule, registration numbers, and number of teams
