League Operations Manager About Us Chicago Super League is building the first community-owned soccer pyramid in Chicago. We serve 400+ players across youth, men's, and women's divisions, with school partnerships already locked in. We're growing fast and need reliable referees to help us deliver a professional, competitive, and fair game-day experience. Role Overview We're looking for certified or experienced referees to officiate matches across our youth, men's, and women's divisions. You'll be responsible for enforcing the rules of the game, maintaining player safety, and ensuring a fair and respectful environment for all participants. Key Responsibilities Officiate Matches Enforce the Laws of the Game, call fouls, offside, and manage game flow Player Safety Ensure player safety by stopping play when necessary and managing dangerous play Game Management Keep track of time, score, and substitutions Conflict Resolution Manage player, coach, and spectator behavior professionally Pre-Game Preparation Arrive 15-20 minutes early for field inspection and equipment check Post-Game Duties Verify final score, sign match report, and submit any incidents to the league Game Information Game Days 7 days a week. Game Times Typically 8am-10pm (Depends on Age group) Locations Various Fields around the City Age Groups Youth (U6-U18), Men's Adult, Women's Adult Formats 3v3, 4v4, 5v5, 7v7, 9v9, 11v11 Requirements USSF Referee License Preferred (must have valid credentials) Experience Experience officiating youth or adult matches Availability Transportation Reliable transportation to South Side venues Age Requirement Must be 18+ Physical Fitness Must be physically fit to keep up with play What We're Looking For Knowledge of the Game You know the Laws of the Game and can apply them Confidence You can make tough calls and stand by them Communication You can manage players, coaches, and spectators professionally Reliability You show up on time and ready to officiate Professionalism You represent the league on and off the field Patience You're comfortable working with young children (U6-U8) Compensation U6-U8 (3v3 / 4v4) $25
  • 45 per game U9-U12 (5v5 / 7v7) $35
  • 60 per game U13-U18 (9v9 / 11v11) $60
  • 80 per game Adult Recreational $60
  • 80 per game Adult Competitive $70
  • 100 per game Pay depends on experience, certification level, match format, and division level.
