POSITION OVERVIEW
The City of Elgin is seeking a part-time Fieldhouse Attendant to supervise the public while they use the Fieldhouse as well as general supervision of the racquetball courts, lower level locker rooms, and track.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct supervision of the Fieldhouse open activities Conduct racquetball court and locker room checks every hour Responsible for the set up/break down of equipment in the
Fieldhouse:
volley ball systems, soccer goals, and basketball goals Keep accurate records/reports and complete all written/records as required Maintain control and enforce all rules and regulations of the area and facility Responsible for check out of equipment: basketballs, volleyballs, etc. and its return Assist in set up of equipment in the Fieldhouse for programs, rentals and patrons Report any problems, equipment failures or unsafe conditions to the Youth/Teen Supervisor Maintain the gym office in an orderly fashion Maintain a positive public image and attitude with good public relations and customer service Wear appropriate staff uniform Abide by all City of Elgin rules and regulations as outlined in the Employee Manual
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Minimum age of 18 years Knowledge of the facility, rules of the Fieldhouse and Centre Ability to work pleasantly with patrons and fellow employees CPR/First Aid certified within 3 months of employment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Hours :
Monday•Friday 4:00 pm•9:00 pm;
MUST BE AVAILABLE ON
Weekends 8:00 am•5:00 pm. Approximately 10-19 hours per week.
