Job Description

About us We are an adult recreational sports organization with a goal of bringing the St. Louis community together through sports. We seek to offer adults an opportunity to continue playing sports after high school and college in a relaxed yet competitive environment. We started operations in August 2021, and have hosted over 25 single-day tournaments since. We host both competitive and recreational division flag football tournaments, as well as Flag Football and 3-on-3 Basketball leagues.
  • Overview:
  • We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Flag Football Referees.
As a Referee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring fair play and sportsmanship during flag football games which will happen once a week during the summer and during the fall season from August-to-November. Games will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 or 8:00-10:00 PM. Officials will be able to choose their availability and sign-up to officiate games. Games will be 40 minutes total, with two 20-minute halves and a 10-minute intermission. Refs will be asked to arrive at least 10 minutes before their first game each league night.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Officiate flag football games to ensure adherence to league rules and regulations
  • Manage game flow and enforce penalties when necessary
  • Facilitate pre-game meetings with teams to review rules and expectations
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with players, coaches, and spectators
  • Ensure the safety of all participants during games
  • Qualifications:
  • Conflict management skills to handle disputes or disagreements effectively
  • Strong communication skills to convey rules clearly and patiently when needed.
  • Background playing sports or officiating preferred
