We are glad you are interested in joining our team and serving the citizens of Scotland County ! Scotland County employees work to improve the wellbeing and safety of citizens' lives. As a county employee you will work with others who value respect, teamwork, dependability, accountability, innovation and excellence. An employee in this class is responsible for enforcing the rules of the sport. Officiates various sporting events, games, and competitions to maintain standards of play. Ensures game rules are observed. Signals participants and other officials to make them aware of infractions and to regulate play. Communicates effectively with recreation staff, coaches, and participants. Maintains a safe playing environment. Must be eighteen (18) years of age. Exceptions to the minimum age are provided if the candidate has a Youth Employment Certification from the NC Department of Labor. Minors may be employed on a Part-Time, Seasonal, or Intern basis.
