Overview Join our dynamic youth sports program as a Youth Flag Football Referee and be a vital part of fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy activity among young athletes. In this energetic role, you will oversee game play, enforce rules, and ensure a fun, safe environment for children eager to learn and compete. Your enthusiasm and clear communication will help create memorable sporting experiences that promote confidence and camaraderie. Responsibilities Enforce game rules and ensure fair play during youth flag football matches Make quick, accurate decisions on plays, fouls, and rule violations to maintain game flow Communicate clearly with players, coaches, and spectators to explain calls and promote sportsmanship Monitor player safety and intervene promptly in case of conflicts or unsafe behavior Assist in setting up equipment and organizing game schedules to ensure smooth operations Keep accurate records of game scores, penalties, and incidents for reporting purposes Promote a positive environment by encouraging teamwork, respect, and enthusiasm among participants Skills Knowledge of football rules, especially youth flag football gameplay and regulations Experience in sports coaching or refereeing is highly desirable Strong conflict management skills to handle disputes or disagreements calmly and effectively Excellent communication skills to clearly convey decisions and foster respectful interactions Ability to work well with children, understanding their needs and maintaining patience under pressure Energetic attitude with a passion for youth sports and community engagement This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop leadership skills while making a meaningful impact on young athletes' lives.
