Job Summary/Basic Function Intramural Sports Official:
No prior experience is required. All training is provided. Flexible hours based on availability. After hiring and continuous satisfactory employment, intramural employees have numerous opportunities for advancement. Required Qualifications Previous experience is not required. Must complete 3 required clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse History, and FBI Fingerprints) Preferred Qualifications Job Duties Intramural Officials help create a safe, fair, and engaging environment for intramural sports competitions. They officiate games by enforcing rules, making informed judgment calls, and maintaining control of players and spectators. Responsibilities include attending required trainings and meetings, setting up and breaking down fields or courts, and ensuring all equipment is safe and ready for play. Officials must communicate clearly with participants and staff, promote sportsmanship, and remain calm under pressure. This role requires flexibility, strong decision-making skills, and the availability to work nights. Working Conditions and Physical Effort Requires ability to work in a variety of weather conditions while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
