Volleyball Referee (Part-time - Evenings) Austin Chapter Volleyball Austin, TX Job Details Part-time | Contract $38 - $42 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Referral program Qualifications Safety inspections for hazard identification Working with high schoolers Working with middle schoolers Decision making Volleyball officiating Full Job Description This position is responsible for officiating high school and middle school volleyball matches at various schools in the central Texas area. Works independently and makes good sound judgment for a successful event. The position is expected to maintain an awareness of potential problems while creating a respectful and welcoming atmosphere for the participants.
- Attends all required meetings and training.
- Enforces applicable activities rules and assesses penalties when necessary.
- Examines the activity environment and surface before every event to ensure safe conditions.
- Uses appropriate signals and mechanics.
- Maintains and provides guidance for other personnel assisting with events.
- Keeps track of event times, starting and stopping play when necessary.
- Must be available to travel and be onsite at the location of the assignment by 5:00PM weekdays
- Flexible schedule regarding days of availability
- Season runs from August through November
