Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Referee to officiate soccer games for youth leagues. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the game, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage conflicts effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring fair play and maintaining a positive environment for young athletes. Responsibilities Officiate soccer games, ensuring adherence to all rules and regulations. Make quick and fair decisions regarding fouls, violations, and game conduct. Communicate clearly with players, coaches, and spectators to explain calls and maintain order during games. Manage conflicts on the field, addressing any disputes between players or coaches in a calm and professional manner. Collaborate with other referees and league officials to ensure smooth game operations. Provide feedback to players on their performance while promoting sportsmanship and respect for the game. Qualifications Previous experience in sports coaching or officiating is preferred. Experience working with children in a sports setting is highly desirable. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain composed under pressure. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to effectively convey decisions and instructions. A solid understanding of soccer rules and gameplay strategies is essential.
