In this energetic role, you'll oversee youth sports games, enforce rules, and ensure all participants enjoy a positive sporting experience. Your enthusiasm and commitment to safety will help inspire confidence among players, coaches, and families alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your sports officiating skills while making a meaningful impact in the community. Duties Officiate youth sports games such as baseball, soccer, basketball, and other team sports with enthusiasm and professionalism Interpret and enforce game rules accurately to maintain fair play and sportsmanship Manage player behavior on the field or court, addressing conflicts promptly and effectively Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including manual handling of equipment and player management Respond quickly to injuries or emergencies by administering first aid or operating AED devices as needed Communicate clearly with coaches, players, parents, and fellow officials to facilitate smooth game flow Conduct safety checks before games and adhere strictly to established safety procedures throughout the event Experience Prior sports coaching experience or officiating background in youth sports is highly desirable Knowledge of sports rules interpretation across multiple disciplines such as baseball, soccer, basketball, and other team sports Experience working with children in recreational or educational settings is preferred Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and AED operation is required or obtainable upon hiring Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of equipment or supplies safely Strong communication skills with the ability to manage conflict effectively in high-energy environments Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence and sportsmanship standards Join us as a Youth Sports Referee and help create memorable sporting moments for young athletes!
