Hours/Week Contract Dates:
August 6, 2026 - May 27, 2027 Soliant is seeking passionate and qualified Special Education Teachers to support a school district in Birmingham, Alabama for the 2026-2027 school year. The district has multiple openings at both the elementary and high school levels.
Position Details:
Elementary Special Education openings High School Special Education openings Onsite only Full school year assignment 37.5 hours per week
Elementary Self-Contained Classrooms:
District's highest hiring priority Small classroom sizes Typically 4-6 students, never more than 10 Student needs vary based on disability and cognitive functioning
Requirements:
Active Alabama Special Education licensure ( Elementary candidates must hold a K-6 endorsement Secondary candidates must hold a 6-12 endorsement Endorsement must align with the age group being served Candidates holding both endorsements are encouraged to apply Benefits of Working with
